Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

OneTake Crew is operated by VYW & CO. ("VYW & CO.", "we", "us", or "our"), based in Ontario, Canada. OneTake Crew is a professional networking platform for the creative industries. VYW & CO. is the data controller responsible for your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, the legal bases and purposes for using it, how we share it, how long we keep it, and the choices and rights you have. By creating an account or using OneTake Crew, you agree to the practices described here. For any privacy question or request, contact our privacy team at support@onetakecrew.com.

2. Information You Provide

When you create an account and use OneTake Crew, you provide information such as your name, username, email address, date of birth, and (optionally) phone number, mailing address, profile photo, professional and biographical details, and links. You also provide the content you create. Posts, clips, images, audio, comments, polls, project details, optional precise location tags you deliberately attach to a post, and direct messages. Your email, phone number, and mailing address are stored privately and are not visible to other members.

3. Information Collected Automatically

To operate, secure, and improve OneTake Crew, we collect limited technical, diagnostic, and usage information, recorded with your app version, device model, and OS version. Depending on your settings, this may include: diagnostics (crash reports, app launch and performance data, and other diagnostic data); product interaction and other usage activity (for example, content you view and how you interact with the app, including a record that a sponsored or boosted post was shown to you); searches you run in the app; external websites or links you open from the app; an approximate (coarse) location, rounded so that it cannot identify a precise place; and, if you provide one, a mailing address. You control this collection in Settings → Data & Privacy: there is a master switch plus a separate toggle for each category, and the more sensitive categories, approximate location and mailing address, are off by default. In the EEA and the UK, all non-essential analytics are off by default and are collected only if you opt in. This is separate from any precise location you deliberately attach to a post (see Section 2). If you leave “Show activity status” on in Settings → Privacy & Safety, we also record the time you last opened OneTake Crew and show it on your profile to other signed-in members as an approximate “last active” indicator. Turning that setting off stops the recording and deletes the stored time.

4. Purchases and Subscriptions

OneTake Crew Premium is an auto-renewable subscription sold through Apple. Your payment is processed by Apple, and we do not receive or store your credit card or payment details. We receive your subscription status (active, expired, or cancelled) so we can unlock Premium features for your account.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK)

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following legal bases:

6. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to create and manage your account; provide networking, messaging, and content features; personalize your experience and suggestions; process and maintain your subscription; communicate with you about the service; celebrate your birthday if you choose to share your date of birth; and keep the platform safe, secure, and free of abuse.

7. How We Share Information

Your profile and the content you choose to post are visible to other members as part of OneTake Crew's networking features, subject to your in-app privacy settings. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share data with trusted service providers ("processors") who process it only on our behalf and under contract, including Google Firebase (authentication, database, file storage, hosting, and push notifications), Apple (subscription billing and push delivery), and Giphy (when you search for GIFs). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or the public, and in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

8. Data Retention

We keep your information only as long as needed for the purposes described here:

You have two options, both in Settings.

Deactivate hides your profile. Nobody can find you in search or suggestions, nothing is deleted, and you can restore it at any time by signing back in.

Delete removes your account. Your profile is hidden immediately and you are signed out, and you have 30 days to change your mind. Signing back in cancels it. After 30 days we erase your profile, your contact details, your private messages and their attachments, your connections, your saved lists, and your device notification tokens. Residual copies are purged from backups within the window above.

What deletion does NOT remove: the posts, clips, comments and vouches you wrote, together with the name and profile photo displayed on them. Other members are part of that content. It records work you did together, and their history would go with yours. Your account, your login and your personal details are gone; that content stays.

If you want that content removed as well, email support@onetakecrew.com and we will review your request.

9. International Data Transfers

OneTake Crew uses cloud infrastructure provided by Google, and your information may be stored and processed on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. For transfers of EEA, UK, or Swiss personal data, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and, where applicable, our providers' certification under the EU-US, UK, and Swiss Data Privacy Frameworks.

10. Automated Processing and Profiling

Our "People You May Know" and content suggestions use limited profiling to surface relevant members and posts. This does not involve any solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects about you. You can limit suggestions in Settings → Privacy & Safety.

11. Data Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and server-side security rules. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Rights and Choices

You can review and update your profile and privacy settings at any time in the app, and you can export a copy of your data from Settings → Your Data. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information; to data portability; and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting processing already carried out). We do not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact support@onetakecrew.com; we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (generally within 30 days) and may need to verify your identity first. If you are in the EEA or UK, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office); in Canada, with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.

13. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use and disclose it; to request access to and deletion of your personal information; to correct inaccurate information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information (which, for us, may include a precise location you attach to a post). We collect the categories of personal information described in Sections 2–3 (identifiers, contact and account information, user content, approximate and precise location, and internet/usage activity) for the business purposes in Section 6. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of minors. You will not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. To make a request, contact support@onetakecrew.com.

14. Children's Privacy

OneTake Crew is intended for individuals aged 17 and older and may contain mature content. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under this age. If you choose to provide your date of birth, we use it to confirm eligibility and to send you an optional birthday greeting. If you believe someone under 17 has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@onetakecrew.com and we will delete it.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use of OneTake Crew after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.

16. Contact Us

If you have any questions or requests regarding this Privacy Policy or your information, contact our privacy team at support@onetakecrew.com.
